He got game!

#WOTD: He got game
Game, jeu, juego,gioco.

"Play the game for more than you can afford to lose.. only then will you learn the game." Winston Churchill

This weekend I overheard the phrase, "He got game" quite often as I watched a number of the teams battle it out in March Madness to move on into that coveted place of the Final Four.

And that battle is a perfect description of what Winston Churchill is talking about in the game of life.  Only when we put our all on life's line for something we believe in - whether it is a humanitarian idea (like Ghandi's and Dr. King's of non-violence), or whether its for a political/social idea (like Barack Obama and a change in the human condition), or whether its a business idea (Steve Jobs put it all on the line for Apple)...they all put their belief system about an idea on the line...they were jailed, booed, bankrupt but they learned how to play life's game and they changed the human condition.

Like a basketball player we can only really play the game (life) when we are willing to risk the loss...for that is only how we really learn to play the game.

Warren Buffet once said, "Risk is a part of God's game, alike for both men and nations."

Today, know this to be true, you only 'got game' if you are willing to take the risk of the loss.  If we continually look at the lives of the 'bling bling', and not those who have put it all on the line to risk knowing how the game is played...we will never reach the Final Four!

Here's to a great week!
