"Seek to live in uninterrupted awareness." - Yolanda
Singer Rita Wilson once said, "Awareness is empowering." She's right, in business we call awareness BGI's or brilliant glimpses of insight. It's what helps the next great invention to be built. When you have this awareness you all of a sudden see very clearly.
We should all want our lives to have this uninterruped clarity. But oftentimes it's not. If you remember the Lil Abner cartoon by Al Capp, then you will remember a character named Joe Btfsplk. He walked around all day long with a cloud over his head. If you're any thing like most of us when we look back on periods of our life, it feels like we've been walking around with a cloud over our face, a veil over our eyes.
How hard is it to walk around in uninterrupted awareness or clarity everyday? Sometimes its very hard because life gets in the way. You know, the shopping, the kids, the bills, the job.
But being aware means being clear about your goals and about your life. In Buddahism it is said that awareness prevents evil from arising in your life.
How I often wish I had had such clarity when it came to certain people in my life. In other words, being aware and being present prevent evil from rising in situations in your life.
Today, know this to be true, uninterrupted awareness is empowering. As Abraham Maslow once said, "What is necessary to change a person is to change his awareness of himself."
Have a great weekend
